GULLANE, Scotland (AP) - Back problems are common among golfers. On Thursday, as Tiger Woods bent over gingerly to retrieve the ball from the cup, it looked as if his back was sore.
Asked if his back was hurting, Woods replied: "No."
Then he gave a health clinic for the weekend player.
"I was a little hot at myself," Woods said. "A lot of times when you're hot at yourself, you tend to bend down a little quick. One of the things I've learned through my trainers is when you're hot like that ... just go down slowly and get the ball out of the hole."
"Over the long haul 20, 30, 40 years of playing golf you never really put yourself in danger of doing damage."
