Woods signs endorsement deal with Swiss watch maker
MARIN, Switzerland
(AP) - Tiger Woods signed a long-term endorsement deal with Swiss
watchmaker TAG Heuer.
Details of the agreement,
which begins January 1, were not released.
Forbes has reported
Woods' endorsement earnings this year at $62 million.
His largest endorsement
is with Nike, a five-year deal worth more than $100 million that
run through 2005. Woods also has sponsorship deals with Buick,
American Express, Upper Deck, Wheaties and Walt Disney Co.
Woods, who remained
at No. 1 in the world ranking for the 165th consecutive week,
has won five times on the PGA Tour this year, including the Masters,
U.S. Open and a World Golf Championship. He leads the money list
with nearly $6.5 million.
Woods joins Formula
One drivers Mika Hakkinen, David Coulthard and Canadian Jacques
Villeneuve and sprinter Marion Jones among others who have sponsorship
deals with the company.
