BLACKWELL - An accident three miles north of Blackwell sent
two Blackwell residents to Rolling Plains Hospital in Sweetwater
Friday morning.

who suffered head injuries, was taken to Hendrick Medical Center

A passenger, Felcia Elliott, 25, had leg and foot injuries.
Elliot was treated and released.

Stevenson said.

BROWNWOOD - A Brownwood man was in critical condition in Parkland
Memorial Hospital Burn Center in Dallas with second-degree burns
Saturday night.
Chantaboun Philavong, 73, was taken by First Flight to Parkland
Saturday afternoon with burns over 65 percent of his body.
Philavong, who lives at 3904 Third Street in Brownwood, was
painting the bathroom with a lacquer base paint about 1 p.m.
A flash fire was sparked when fumes came into contact with
the pilot light of a gas water heater in the bathroom closet,
said Brownwood Fire Capt. Larry Butler.
His wife, who was sitting in a backroom, spotted Philavong
as he ran out of the bathroom with his hair on fire, Butler said.
