Local man, 30, dies in wreck
A 30-year-old Abilene man died of injuries he received in a
one-car rollover about 10:45 p.m. Saturday on Rebecca Lane near
U.S. 277.
Marion Dale Evans died about 4 p.m. Sunday at Abilene Regional
Medical Center, where he was taken after the crash. A passenger,
Turk Burnard Wolfe, 24, was in stable condition Sunday night at
the same hospital.
A witness said the car Evans was driving rolled over several
times. He was thrown about 100 feet from the vehicle, which had
been headed east at a high speed, witnesses said.
