HSU women easily defeat Paul Quinn

Hardin-Simmons scored the first 11 points of the game and was never challenged in taking a 95-57 win over Paul Quinn in a women's college basketball game Thursday night at Mabee Complex.

Michelle McLellan led the Cowgirls with 28 points and eight rebounds. Post Micky Davis recorded a triple-double with 13 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists.

Cherese Lucas led Paul Quinn with 17 points and 15 rebounds, but made only 6 of 29 shots from the field, was 0 for 7 from 3-point range and committed a team-high eight turnovers.

Hardin-Simmons pulled down 60 rebounds in the game, forced 27 turnovers and came up with 16 steals. Kathryn Otwell and Nellie Fowler added 17 and 15 points, respectively, for the Cowgirls.
