ACHS players make all-District team
Senior linebacker John Williams and senior quarterback/kicker
Lee Headstream were two of six Abilene Christian High School Panthers
named to the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools
all-District 1-A team.
Williams was named first-team all-district and was also honored
as the district's defensive MVP. Headstream was named first-team
quarterback and second-team kicker.
Other Panther seniors named to the first team were David VanRheenen
(Receiver), Stan Bailey (lineman) and David Strickland (special
teams).
The lone Panther junior honored was running back Nick Williams,
who was named to the first team.
The Panthers finished their season with a record of 9-3, losing
to Bryan Allen Academy, 44-42, in the state semifinal round.
