Munday girls take team title

LEVELLAND- The Munday girls won two relays and captured the team title at the Region I-A track meet Sunday, scoring 76 points.

Ricky Serrato of Munday won the 800 and 1,600, but Paducah won the team crown with 62 points, four more than Sudan.

Konnett Mays of Roby won the girls 100 and Summer Coulter of Jayton took the 1,600 to qualify for state as did Anna Waldrip of Munday (100 hurdles), Jennifer Lehrmann of Rule (800) and Amber Hill of Throckmorton (1,600), who finished second.

Jay Ben Alls of Rotan won the boys long jump and was the only other area winner in this division. Bryan Kolb of Aspermont was second in the 300 hurdles, Alls was second in the 400 and the Roby 1,600 relay team was runner-up, all also qualifying for state.
