Bulldogs blast Eastland
EASTLAND - Wylie jumped on Eastland for seven runs in the top

in a District 6-3A baseball game Friday.
"The first inning was the story of the game," Wylie
coach Clay Martin said.
Marc Deffenbaugh led off with single. Jacob Pruitt reached
on an error, and then Eastland pitchers walked four straight batters
to force in three runs.
Scott followed with a two-run double, Greg McMinn hit a RBI
single, and Deffenbaugh, batting for the second time in the inning,
doubled to drive in final run of the inning.
The game was called on the 10-run rule after five innings.
Deffenbaugh and McMinn each had two hits for Wylie, which is
now 11-5 overall and 2-0 in district.
