'Eye of the Tiger' lets viewer
see what it's like to be Woods
NEW YORK (AP) Ever wanted to know
what it's like to have Tiger Woods' golf swing? Now you can get
an up-close look.
NBC Sports collected video Wednesday of
Woods swinging a driver, a 3-wood and a 4-iron while he wore a
camera affixed to his cap. The camera was made by the same company
that produces the UmpCam worn on NFL telecasts this
season.
The results, billed by NBC Sports as Eye
of the Tiger footage, will be shown during the network's
broadcasts of the Williams World Challenge, starting at 3 p.m.
EST on Saturday and Sunday.
Golfers and aspiring golfers should
have their VCRs up and running, executive producer Tom Roy
said. The viewer can literally step into the shoes of Tiger
Woods and see what he sees.
